A rare and exceptional evening at 1983 bringing together iconic figures from experimental, post-industrial, and contemporary classical music.

Jarboe is a vocalist, visual artist, and composer with over forty years of work spanning experimental, industrial, and avant-garde music. Known to many as a central figure in Swans, her solo career has continuously expanded boundaries — from the raw power electronics of her 1984 cassette Walls to emotionally complex albums such as Sacrificial Cake (1995) and Disburden Disciple (2000). A new album, co-created with Thor Harris, is due in 2026 via Belgian label Consouling Sounds.

Thor Harris is a Texas-born multi-instrumentalist known for his work as percussionist in Swans (2010–2016) and collaborations with Bill Callahan, Xiu Xiu, Devendra Banhart, Amanda Palmer, and many others.

Joy Von Spain is a Seattle-based vocalist, pianist, and contemporary classical composer whose work blends classical influences with experimental, theatrical, and emotionally charged expression.

Waterflower and Eleonora Kampe represent Latvia’s own experimental scene.
