Who is behind the project
Expats Latvia was created and is mainly developed by Alex, an independent web developer living in Latvia.
The project is also shaped by the shared experience of Alex and his partner Maija as an international couple building their life in Riga, discovering Latvian culture and connecting with the people and communities around them.
Maija contributes ideas, perspectives and occasional photography. Alex is responsible for the website, content management and most of the day-to-day work behind the platform.
Expats Latvia is developed and funded independently. It continues to grow through new guides, listings, events, community contributions and cooperation with people who share the same purpose.
