“Osculum. Basium. Suavium” – Krista Vindberga-Auzniece

A kinetic sculpture installation referencing Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam – reimagined with creation left in a woman’s hands. Two hands rotate continuously toward one another, their trajectory forming an endless cycle of closeness and distance. No divine hierarchy, but two equal creators. Contact occurs at only one degree of the full 360-degree rotation – a moment where the intensity and fragility of creation are concentrated.

The title shifts from month to month – Osculum, Basium, Suavium – gradually narrowing the distance: from a restrained gesture, through tenderness, to sensual intensity.
