HOROS Festival – Dance Masterclasses at Hanzas Perons
Three dance masterclasses open to professionals and anyone interested in movement, with no previous experience required. All sessions will be held in English as part of the HOROS contemporary dance festival.
Tools for Tinkering – Erik Eriksson (SE) / 17:30–18:30
Structured improvisation based on developmental movement patterns, exploring different levels of intensity, range and complexity.
Vērpete Workshop – Erik Eriksson and Krišjānis Sants (SE/LV) / 18:40–19:40
Movement material from the performance Vērpete, adapted to participants’ abilities and focusing on spinning, balance in pairs, mutual attention and trust.
Lindy Hop – Salka Ardal Rosengren (SE) / 20:00–21:30
An introduction to lindy hop from a contemporary dance perspective, with rotating partners and exercises in leading, following, listening and playful response.
Bring comfortable clothes and dance shoes with soles that do not stick to the floor.
Participation: Free with a ticket to any HOROS performance on July 30 or 31. Otherwise, €10 covering all three masterclasses, payable in cash at the venue.
