Riga’s annual Night Swim returns to the RTU Ķīpsala swimming pool as part of European Week of Sport. Participants choose their own pace, stroke and distance during a 30-minute session, with music and special lighting creating a relaxed evening atmosphere rather than a conventional race.

Four groups are scheduled according to confidence and experience: families and enthusiasts from 19:00 to 19:30, amateurs from 19:45 to 20:15, the sport group from 20:30 to 21:00, and the pro group from 21:15 to 21:45. Children under 16 must attend with a parent. Select the group that matches your swimming ability when registering.

Registration: Required in advance through the official event website
What to bring: Standard pool kit and anything you normally need for a swim. The organisers also allow participants to use swimming noodles and kickboards.
