Vējupe Sports Festival 2026: Ādaži Aquathlon

Vējupe Sports Festival brings open-water swimming, aquathlon and photo-orienteering to Vējupes pludmale in Ādaži. The aquathlon combines swimming and running, with distances for children, beginners and experienced competitors. The programme also includes team relays and sports activities for children.

Open-water races range from 100 to 3,000 metres. Aquathlon distances range from a 100-metre swim and 500-metre run to a 1-kilometre swim and 5-kilometre run. Photo-orienteering can be entered individually or as a team.

🎟 Participation fees: Free to €40 with advance registration, depending on the activity and distance. Same-day entry costs more.

🌐 Programme and competition rules

Advance registration closes on August 20 at 23:59. Most individual aquathlon categories require a Latvian Triathlon Federation licence. A one-day licence costs €10 or €15, depending on age.

Declared residents of Ādaži Municipality can request free entry to an individual event by emailing straksa.ance@gmail.com before the advance registration deadline.
