SUMMARY:"Osculum. Basium. Suavium" - Krista Vindberga-Auzniece
DESCRIPTION:A kinetic sculpture installation referencing Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam – reimagined with creation left in a woman’s hands. Two hands rotate continuously toward one another\, their trajectory forming an endless cycle of closeness and distance. No divine hierarchy\, but two equal creators. Contact occurs at only one degree of the full 360-degree rotation – a moment where the intensity and fragility of creation are concentrated. \nThe title shifts from month to month – Osculum\, Basium\, Suavium – gradually narrowing the distance: from a restrained gesture\, through tenderness\, to sensual intensity. \nCurators: Krista Vindberga-Auzniece\, Laura Groza \n\n📅 May 25-31\, 2026 · Open 24/7 📍 Čehova teātra galerija\, Kaļķu iela 16\, Riga \nPart of Riga Art Week.

SUMMARY:“I want to Be Glue!” Shana de Villiers (SA/NL)
DESCRIPTION:A large-scale installation at TUR combining textile\, soft sculpture\, and performance. Working with Latvian and South African snake mythologies\, Shana de Villiers creates a theatrical environment where hybrid\, monstrous characters become carriers of difference\, memory\, and transformation. Glimmering surfaces\, fragmented voices\, and shifting forms — the monstrous reimagined as familiar and inviting. \nCurator: Edvards Shautens \nOpening hours: Thu 13:00-22:00 / Fri-Sun 13:00-18:00 \nPart of Riga Art Week. \n\n📅 May 28 – June 27\, 2026 📍 TUR\, Tallinas iela 10\, Riga
