DESCRIPTION:Staro Rīga returns during Latvia’s Independence Day celebrations with the 2026 theme unum momentum\, or “that one moment”. Light\, video and multimedia works will explore the decisions and experiences that can change a person’s inner world or redirect a wider story. \nSeven themed light trails connect Mūkusalas Promenade and Spīķeri with Old Riga\, Kronvalda Park\, the Ave Sol area and Viesturdārzs. The programme includes installations by seven creative teams alongside work by emerging artists from the Art Academy of Latvia and the Latvian College of Culture. \nThe route is outdoors and spread across several parts of central Riga\, so allow time for walking and dress for November weather.
